Graduation Project: “Creation and implementation of the National Seed Bank at Finca El Encin (Alcala de Henares).” Supervised by E. Monge Sánchez, J. Miranda de Onís and C. Gómez Campo. Rating: Excellent. This project was awarded a grant by the Institute for Selected Seeds and Nursery Plants - Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Agrarias for its excellence.

2 Awards to the best doctoral dissertation submitted in 1977-78 at the School of Agricultural Engineers, granted by Madrid Polytechnic University and the Madrid Professional Guild of Agricultural Engineers.

1977 University-Business Award obtained by the team in which M. Clemente participated for conducting a survey of Moroccan aromatic plants with potential interest for the perfume industry. Project sponsored by the Moroccan Ministry of Agriculture and carried out at the School of Agricultural Engineering, Madrid Polytechnic University, under the direction of C. Gómez-Campo.

1st National Award to the best video made by teachers: Pliego Alfaro, F. and Clemente Muñoz, M. (1989). The unseen garden. Plant propagation: In vitro culture. This video was marketed in English by the University of Glasgow, UK, in 1992 because of its quality.

Awarded an International Prize for the best scientific television series in 1992 for “Green Blood;” the series was made up of 13 30-minute episodes on the relations between plants and humans, with reference to CITES, biodiversity and related problems. The series has been aired on different channels in Europe, America and Asia. Published by Radio Television of Andalusia. DL-6379-07 SE

Cordoba Award 2000 (1992) granted to Cordoba Botanic Garden for its work in the field of science. Award shared with the entire team of that institution.
