14/07/2009 to 14/07/2011: Specialised director for plants issues under contract signed on 14 July 2009, between ATECMA and Cordoba University, for “Scientific Advice to the Spanish CITES Scientific Authority on International Conventions, CITES and the CBD.” Contract signed with the Directorate-General for the Natural Environment and Forest Policy, Spanish Ministry of the Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs through public call for proposals published in Spanish Official Journal No. 22 of 26th January 2009, and in the Official Journal of the European Communities (OJ / S S248), 20 December 2008 (330918-2028-ES).

5/12/2006 to 5/12/2008: Specialised director for plants issues under contract signed on 6 December 2006, between ATECMA and Cordoba University, for “Scientific Advice to the CITES Scientific Authority on International Conventions, CITES and the CBD.” Contract signed with the Directorate-General for Biodiversity (Spanish Scientific Authority), Spanish Ministry of the Environment through public call for proposals.

1991 to 30/10/2006: Director of the programme “Scientific Support for the implementation of the Washington Convention (CITES) regarding plants and other international conventions (CBD).” Funded by the Directorate-General for Biodiversity (Spanish Scientific Authority), Spanish Ministry of the Environment through several Memoranda of Understanding established with Cordoba Botanic Garden.

2004 and 2005: Director of the study “Evaluation of the harvest of Prunus africana bark: on Bioko (Equatorial Guinea): Guidelines for a Management Plan;” Spanish Ministry of the Environment.

1996 and 1997: Director of the study “Timber species listed in the CITES Appendices.” Funded by Cordoba University; Cordoba Botanic Garden; Spanish Scientific Authority and CITES Secretariat, Switzerland.

1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999: Director of the study “Study of the effects of global change on key plant species for maintaining biodiversity in southern Spain: Development of strategies for their conservation and management,” carried out at Cordoba University. Funded by the Spanish Interministerial Commission for Science and Technology, National Research Programme for Environment and Natural Resources.

1990, 1991 and 1993: Director of the study “Conservation of ethnobotanic plant natural heritage in Andalusia: Checklist, types of use, collecting and conservation, and propagation techniques,” funded by the Interministerial Commission of Science and Technology, undertaken by Cordoba University.
